Email Address
See Your Email Address. For example, you could use yournodename@powernet.co.uk .
Incoming Mail
Server type: POP3
Server name: pop3.powernet.co.uk
- The server uses a secure connection (may also be called "SSL" or "TLS")
The port number is 995
The username is whatever your Powernet username is (e.g. yournodename), and the password is whatever your Powernet password is.
Outgoing Mail
Server name: mail.powernet.co.uk
The server uses a secure connection (may also be called "SSL" or "TLS")
The port number is 25 (for some mail programs, port 465 may be the correct choice)
The server requires authentication
The username is whatever your Powernet username is (e.g. yournodename), and the password is whatever your Powernet password is.
N.b. If you are connecting to mail.powernet.co.uk on a BT Openworld Broadband connection you need to change the outgoing mail server port number to 465.
