What changes can I make to my web site under a maintenance contract?

Having a maintenance contract will allow you to make changes to your website for the period of the contract. Your website could be kept up-to-date by:

A maintenance contract will be for a number of hours per month; a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 10 hours per month. A contract can run for up to one year, and can be renewed after expiry.

If I wish to sign up for a website maintenance contract, what do I need to do?

If Powernet are currently developing a website for your company, speak to your Project Manager or Business Development Manager about a maintenance contract. If you have an existing website, contact our Business Development Team on 01908-605188 or e-mail them on sales@powernet.co.uk to discuss your requirements.

Will Powernet offer a maintenance contract for my web site even though another company created it?

Although Powernet usually provide website maintenance contracts only for websites that have been created by us, we will consider offering maintenance contracts for websites that were originally developed by a third party. As the ability to support a website is dependant on thorough understanding of its structure and the technologies used in its creation, such a contract may be subject to a period of initial investigation by our website developers, for which an initial charge may be levied.

Once I have signed up for web site maintenance, what is the procedure for logging change requests to my site?

Once you have signed up, you will be given an e-mail address that you can use to send all your maintenance requests to Powernet, where they will be logged and acknowledged within 2 working days.

Once I have logged a maintenance request, when will work on my site be undertaken?

Powernet will - wherever possible - carry out website maintenance requests within 30 working days of the receipt of a request.

How much do Powernet charge for a maintenance contract?

You will be quoted an hourly rate, plus VAT, for the level of website maintenance you require, and you can request to be invoiced quarterly or annually.

What if I don't use all my maintenance hours in one month?

You may carry forward maintenance hours within an individual maintenance contract up to a maximum of 25 hours at any one time. Hours can also be carried forward if you renew a maintenance contract; if you are not renewing your maintenance, all hours must be used within the next 30 days. To help you keep account of the hours remaining on your contract, you will receive a quarterly statement of account with your invoice.
