Powernet Email Addresses
Each Powernet account has a "node" name, which never changes during the life of the account. For example, let's take the node name nodename.
You can therefore use as many or as few of the the following email addresses as you wish:
nodename@powernet.co.uk
nodename@powernet.com
nodename@luvme.com
nodename@hateme.com
Additionally, you can use addresses of this form:
anythingyouwant@nodename.powernet.co.uk
Because you can put just about anything to the left of the "@" sign, this allows you to have an unlimited number of e-mail addresses.
We place no limit on the number of addresses you can have using this method: you can set up as many as your email software will support.
Spam
You may find that you receive spam in your mailbox, because it was addressed to (say) nodename@luvme.com, even though you never use that address. If you prefer, we can block these addresses from getting to your inbox:
We can block the nodename@powernet.co.uk / nodename@powernet.com / nodename@luvme.com / nodename@hateme.com addresses
- (we can either block them all, or not block any of them; sorry, we can't block some domains and not others)
We can block or unblock anythingyouwant@nodename.powernet.co.uk
You may find this especially useful if you have your own domain (e.g. example.com) and all mail to that domain ends up your Powernet mailbox. In that case you probably only want to receive mail sent to example.com, and not mail sent to nodename@powernet.com etc.
Drop us a line if you would like us to block or unblock these addresses on your mailbox.
